Two Down; One (Or Maybe Two) To Go

BEVERLY HILLS (MI) -- With verbal commitments from combo guard Darrell Davis of Detroit Douglas (MI) HS (alias “Quadruple D”) and 6’ 11” center Steve McElvene from New Haven (IN) HS, Archie & Company have filled two pressing needs. Adding a big guard who can handle the rock and the always-elusive five man with soft hands are the first two building blocks to what could be another tremendous Flyer recruiting class. UD has two open slots for 2014 and offers out to, among others, SG Javon Bess from Gahanna Lincoln (OH) HS and SF Ryan Luther of Hampton (PA) HS. The question is, does Archie take the first commitment he gets and bank the other ride or grab both guys and call it a day?

Time will tell…and by time, I mean within the next few weeks.
