So How Was Your Weekend?

BEVERLY HILLS (MI) -- So how was your weekend, kids?

A Flyer victory over Richmond in the A-10 Tournament on Friday; a Red and Blue loss to St. Joe in Brooklyn on Saturday and a totally crazoid “Selection Sunday” made for a most unique 72 hours for a lot of folks, to say the least.

Let’s recap how it all affected some different groups and individuals:

-- If you are Kendall Pollard: You wonder just how far up their butts the refs had their whistles in order to call this a charge:

-- If you are Charles Barkley: You never want to see another ‘magic’ touch screen monitor again:

-- If you are CBS and Turner: You cut “Selection Sunday” back to a half-hour and forget all of the shenanigans:

-- If you are the person who leaked the official NCAA Bracket in the middle of the “Selection Sunday” show on CBS: Consider life in Argentina. Zihuatanejo? Toledo?

-- If you are new UD President Eric Spina (late of Syracuse University): Who do you root for?

-- If you are Syracuse fans: You look right past Dayton and start a thread on SyracuseFan.com about MSU vs. The Cuse:

“Those who ignore the past are condemned to repeat it.”

If history does repeat itself and Dayton does beat The Orange, then if you are Brian Gregory, who do you root for: MSU vs. UD?

-- If you are Doug Gottlieb: You say this about Syracuse:

''No team should be in this NCAA Tournament that lost to St. John's this year."

-- If you are Bernadette McGlade: You let the Selection Committee have it with both barrels after pimping St. Bonaventure out of an NCAA bid:

-- If you are a non-Power Five Conference School: Get your ass into a Power Five Conference! Gary Parrish of CBS Sports illuminates us on the facts:

-- If you are Monmouth? You head to the NIT:

-- If you are Joe Lunardi: You ask yourself: WTF was the Selection Committee thinking?

-- If you are Shae Pepplers of Campus Insiders: You pick Dayton to make it to the Final Four:

-- If you are Archie Miller: You crank up some Alice in Chains and take care of business vs. Syracuse in St. Louis on Friday afternoon:

-- If you are Twitter: Here is how you react to UD's selection for the NCAA Tournament:

-- If you need tickets: You go here:

-- If you need any more reason to get pumped for Friday afternoon: Watch this:

That’s it “From the Swamp.”

And if you are Dr Willie, you spend you weekend trying to figure out how to get the Pep band to play the opening lines for "No Excuses" and "Man in the Box" by Friday (although it would seem pretty difficult w/o the guitars to mix in, the drum parts would be recognizable to Archie if you get other instruments to replicate the sound of the Guitar parts.

Then, if you have a really good weekend, you figure out a way to prep "I'm on Fire" when UD makes a big run, and "glory Days" for when UD knocks the Orange out of the field again.

All I have to say is that Barkley is the worst advertisement for an Auburn education you could have. The academia folks at Auburn must cringe every time he's on TV.

Know what burns my backside is that hypocrite Gottlieb. He says if you lost to St. John's you don't belong on the tournament and then go and Syracuse is going to beat Dayton.

Worst college analyst around.

Go Flyers and stick it back up his backside!
