BEVERLY HILLS (MI) -- The old saying may state that “April showers bring May flowers” but in college hoops it’s more like “The April Evaluation Period brings November signings.”

Archie & Company have certainly been very active on the recruiting trail:

-- J. P Macura is a 6’4” SG from Minnesota:

-- Jared Nickens is a 6’6” SG originally from NY who is tight with incoming Dayton recruit “Scoochie” Smith:

-- Ryan Luther is a 6’8” shooter who hails from Archie’s home turf in Western PA:

-- The latest member of the Class of 2014 to get an offer from UD is Angel Delgado, a 6’9” C from upstate New York by way of the Dominican Republic:

For the Class of 2015, Archie has the luxury of having to attend one game to see four prime recruits, as they all play for the same King James AAU squad:

PG deluxe A.J Harris from Dayton Dunbar:

Center Nate Fowler Cincinnati Moeller:

Kyle Ahrens from Versailles HS:

As well as All-World prospect Luke Kennard from Franklin HS:

-- Archie states his recruiting philosophy rather succinctly in this piece from Doug Harris at The DDN. It’s a lesson he learned in his first college job as an Assistant under Darrin Horn at WKU: “Get guys you’re not supposed to have.”

--You can see the updated list of who the Flyers are targeting across all classes at VerbalCommits.com:

-- Speaking of AAU ball, Dave Telep of ESPN.com penned this scathing indictment of the entitlement culture of HS hoops:

-- Is it any surprise that both scoring and fouling are at historically low levels in college hoops?

-- Stat geek Ken Pomeroy charts three-point accuracy by shot angle:

It turns out that, much like the NBA, a corner three is the best value in the college game.

-- 66 behind-the-scenes photos from Star Wars. My favorite is #62 of Chewie and Princess Leia:

-- “The 38 Best Local News Captions of All Time.” Bonus: not a slide show!

-- It was fitting that the last song the Beatles ever recorded was “The End” on Abbey Road. Up until now, I didn’t realize how truly appropriate it was:

That’s it “From the Swamp.”
