BEVERLY HILLS (MI) -- Last night I had the strangest dream. In it, I was watching a Flyers game online and it was tremendous -- the game, but not the video feed. All of UD’s three point shots kept falling; the opposing coach kept calling TOs as his squad fell further and further behind; the Flyers never turned the ball over and the other team’s defense was futile; everyone chipped in on the scoring and all of the Flyers played great D. I checked the scoreboard online #9 Butler was losing to
LaSalle; X was losing their first A-10 game to UNC-
Charlotte and UD’s next foe the
Duquesne Dukes dropped to 0-5, so the Flyers no longer occupied the conference cellar.
Then I woke up and realized it wasn’t an hallucination at all. The reality was that the Flyers were facing the
Fordham Rams, a dreamy opponent if there ever was one for a squad that started the conference season 0-3.
The A-10 part of the dream was totally true, so we have that going for us…which is nice.
If the Flyers could somehow manage to replicate last night’s effort for the next eleven tilts, now then we would be talkin’ a real dream!
-- The reason I was able to watch the Ram game was that UD added 4 more games including last night’s to the list of Flyer contests that will be web-streamed:

All of you out-of-town
Flyer Faithful say a big “thank you” to Doug Hauschild!
-- Speaking of dreams, Chris Johnson is certainly living his, as he inked a 10 day deal with the Memphis Grizzlies and saw immediate action vs. the Lowly Lakers. Here is the Griz press release on CJ’s signing:

CJ’s defensive assignment for most of his ten minutes of play was to guard Kobe, which is ironically who
Chris Wright had to defend vs. LA when he was with the Warriors last year.

Tito tells Shank to edit out the parts where he calls relief pitcher Heathcliff Slocumb “useless” and Curt Schilling “a blowhard.” The CHB takes them out of the book, but makes sure to include them in the article about writing it.
What a doorknob.
