Richmond thread
Spiders like UD have a short bench - in their Wednesday loss to UMASS three starters went 37 minutes plus and only three came off the bench. Budnik is their top player at 13 PPG effective in and out - she went 7 for 10 from the three point stripe in the UMASS game. The freshman Doogan has really come on - she had 38 total points in non conference and in A-10 play she's averaging about 14 points a game. Point guard Townsend is +25 in the assist to turnover radio but the rest of the team is dreadful in that regard. #32 Ryan takes more three's than anyone else on the team by far and hits a respectable 42%.

Wonder if it's because they had such a short roster to begin with - someone gets sick and oh well doesn't matter why. I think considering Eleanor is a walkon with the Lear injury they have six scholarship players and if one gets sick voila no game. UD isn't going to say anything about this but in the release it says they expect to play Wednesday - if it were Covid I'd think they'd be cancelling that game in the same release because 10,000 kids are expected for Education Day.

Who knows but if you lose 1-2 players we're pretty much without a playable squad.

Story on WHIO.com and Archdeacon's DDN article says COVID-19 cases.
Archdeacon's DDN article also confirmed Lear/Perry/Wheeler unavailable for non-COVID reasons.
Lear's injury described as "badly sprained ankle" so I wouldn't expect her back any time soon.
Bohanon described as "the walking wounded" - dealing with multiple injuries but gutting it out on game days.

I don't know about the shirt giveaway but word is that marketing would confirm this tomorrow - the breast cancer awareness recognition with pink day will be this Saturday noon against St. Joseph's.
